POLICE have launched a murder investigation following the death of a man in his 70s in Chelmsford.
Essex Police have confirmed the victim's name as Brian Hurry, a 78-year-old of Bramwoods Road, Chelmsford.
Earlier a 43-year-old man, a 41-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man, all from Chelmsford were arrested on suspicion of murder.
A post-mortem examination and inquest opening are yet to take place.
Officers were contacted shortly after 5pm on Saturday, June 18, with reports a man in his 70s had died at an address in Bramwoods Road.
Enquiries are continuing today at the scene and a cordon remains in place.
