A member of the public had become suspicious about activity at the location and called the police.

Officers attended on Tuesday, May 17 and found more than 30 suspected cannabis plants and associated hydroponics equipment.

Following enquiries they arrested two men, aged 44 and 47, both from Basildon, on suspicion of cultivating cannabis.

They were taken to Chelmsford police station for questioning before being released on police bail pending further enquiries to report back on Thursday September 1.

Inspector Nick Eliot said: "Thanks to information received from a member of the public, two men have been arrested and we have seized a substantial quantity of suspected cannabis.

"If anyone has suspicions about the supply of drugs I would urge them to contact us on 101.

"We will take action."
