Her family and friends held a pamper and shopping evening at the Essex County Cricket Club, in New Writtle Street, Chelmsford, and were delighted when more than 100 people.

Her sister, Laura Butler, 32, of Hadfield Drive, Chelmsford, said: "It was lovely to see so many people come together to support the event and support Claire.

"I was overwhelmed with how many people we had attend and how well the event went.

"It was an emotional night which concluded with a message from Claire being read out thanking the attendees, stall holders, people who donated raffle prizes and all those who have shown support in any way."
