Thurrock 3-1 Redbridge
From Ship Lane
Ryman One North
THURROCK came from behind to earn a 3-1 win over Redbridge and maintain their outstanding home form.
The home team had drawn 1-1 with Romford in the week and needed a victory to get back on the trail of the league leaders, but they got off to the worst possible start.
Charlie Parish scored the goal that put Redbridge ahead, just days after their superb win against Southend United in the Essex Senior Cup.
But Lewwis Spence brought Fleet level after 36 minutes to take the home side into half-time on level terms.
And that was how it stayed until six minutes from time. Joe Christou was the hero as he scored to put the home team ahead.
And he netted again in stoppage time to make sure of the result.
Thurrock: Madden, Morgan, Duncan, Toner, Sutton, Clark (Goode), Christou, Spence, Stimson, Wall, Cowley
