A fifth person has been arrested in connection with the murder of a young father in Great Baddow. 

Ladimeji Benson, 27, was stabbed following an altercation in Baddow Road on Tuesday, November 10.

The Westcliff shop owner, who grew up in Chelmsford and lived in Colchester, later died at Broomfield Hospital of his injuries. 

A teenage boy was arrested in the early hours of this morning (Friday, November 20) on suspicion of assault and affray. 

The 16-year-old has been taken to Chelmsford Police station for questioning. 

A 20-year-old man arrested on Wednesday, November 18, on suspicion of murder remains in police custody this morning.

Two men from Chelmsford aged 22 and 25 and a 20-year-old man of no fixed abode who were arrested in connection with the ongoing police investigation remain on police bail pending further enquiries.
