Dozens of bunches of flowers, handwritten cards and personal tributes have been laid in memory of young dad Ladi Benson who was stabbed to death after an argument.
A murder investigation has been launched after the 27-year-old, who has been named locally as Westcliff shop owner Ladi Benson, was stabbed in Baddow Road, Chelmsford, on Tuesday night.
The father of two was rushed to Broomfield Hospital after a group of men flagged down an ambulance in Broomfield Road, Chelmsford, a short time after a disturbance in Baddow Road was reported to police.
Mr Benson, who ran Princes Street shoe and clothes shop Numero 88, died in Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford later that evening.
Bunches of flowers and cards have now been left in Baddow Road in tribute to Ladi, alongside a football shirt, football scarf.
Tealights have also been lit at the scene in memory of Ladi, who grew up in Moulsham Lodge and went to Moulsham Infant and High School.
A 25-year-old man from Chelmsford has been arrested in connection to the investigation and remains in custody for questioning.
