A CANNABIS producer will be ordered to repay any money he made.

A financial investigator has been examining the finances of 45-year-old Martin Rowe, of Noakes Avenue, Chelmsford.

Noakes denied two counts of producing cannabis and cannabis resin but was found guilty at trial.

Rowe grew 26 plants.

He was given a one year jail sentence for each count suspended for two years.

He was ordered to carry out 80 hours unpaid work, pay costs of £1,000 and the plants were destroyed earlier this year.

Yesterday Judge Patrick O’Brien agreed, at Chelmsford Crown Court, to allow three weeks before the claim, under the Proceeds of Crime Act, is made.

A final amount is yet to be agreed.
