THE first qualifying round of the FA Trophy has been drawn, with four Thurrock sides learning their fate.

Grays Athletic will host Biggleswade Town, of the Southern Premier League, having already defeated Biggleswade United in the FA Cup this season.

However, Town will pose a sterner test, as they play in the equivalent league as Mark Bentley’s Blues.

East Thurrock United begin their journey against Aveley’s conquerors South Park at Rookery Hill, with Thurrock and Tilbury also securing home draws.

Fleet were 2-0 winners at the weekend, and have earned a tie with Chatham Town at Ship Lane. The Ryman One South have struggled at the start of term, and sit 20th in the standings.

The Dockers won 5-0 against Barkingside and will play Tooting & Mitcham United, another side struggling in the southern division.

The matches will be played on Saturday, October 31 and the winners will pocket £2,700.
