Grays Athletic 1-3 Kingstonian
From Mill Field
Ryman Premier League
GRAYS Athletic’s indifferent recent league form continued as they were beaten by Kingstonian.
Blues went down 3-1, just two days after a 3-0 reverse to Leatherhead, in a performance Mark Bentley could deem a disappointment.
Although they started well, with Bradley Fortnam-Tomlinson shooting narrowly wide.
Kingstonian hit the post but it wasn’t long before they did open the scoring. Dan Bennett got it and they led at the break.
Blues started the second-half strongly and got the equaliser their play deserved when Roman Michael-Percil stroked home after good work from Joao Carlos.
But that was as good as it got for Grays, as a Jake Kempton double saw them lose.
He netted first with 15 minutes remaining after some questionable defending with his second coming at the death as Grays searched for an equaliser.
Grays remain second after the result.
Grays: Johnson, Ifill, Siva, Cronin, Leader, Stevens (Bloomfield), Michael-Percil, Agyemang, Fortnam-Tomlinson, Ferguson (Little), Carlos (Reynolds)
