East Thurrock United 4–0 Leiston

EAST Thurrock United romped to their first home win of the season against league leaders Leiston.
Rocks won 4-0 against the Suffolk outfit, after braces from Lewis Smith and Sam Higgins handed them the win.
Rocks were playing only their fifth home match of the season, and searching for their first win in the process.
However, they were up against the side setting the pace at the top of the league.
But John Coventry’s men enjoyed a strong first-half showing, and back from injury, Higgins hit his seventh goal of term after 35 minutes.
In his absence, Smith has picked up the slack and taken the lead in the club’s scoring charts. And he hit his 10th goal of the season just after the break to double Rocks’ advantage.
And when Smith struck again with 25 minutes remaining the result was all but assured.
Higgins added his second with five minutes to go.
East Thurrock: Lidakevicius, Sammons (Peddie), Scott, Wraight, Wood, Craddock, Miller (Anderson), Gilbey, Smith, Higgins, Walker (Knott)
