THE PREVIEW: Billericay’s 3-2 win at Lewes on Saturday saw them pick up back-to-back wins in the Ryman Premier League.

Two more strikes from recent addition Mike Fondop took his tally to three goals in two matches, and he will be confident of continuing that form against VCD.

The Kent side are second-bottom in the division, and are yet to win this season in 10 attempts. They have also found goals hard to come by, with just four so far this term and Town are hopeful of a result that could see them in the top half come the end of the night.

However, two late goals saw Billericay lose this match last season and Town manager Craig Edwards will be wary of that.

WHAT HE SAID: Craig Edwards said: “We should have won Saturday’s game by more goals. We were hampered by injuries early on and that made the game more open and it was a good game to watch.

“Our strikers are doing well. Mike (Fondop) and (Onome) Sodje are doing well and we have nine goals in the last two games. We have turned a corner after the performance and result against Hampton & Richmond and that is what I wanted.

“But VCD won’t be a pushover. I heard they played very well against Canvey recently and were unlucky not to take something from the game. We won’t take it lightly but go there confident of getting a result.”
