BOWERS & Pitsea came from behind to win against the odds against Eton Manor.
Bowers had conceded and been reduced to 10 men early on but they fought back impressively. Ashley Wackers-Kyriacou combined with Michael Begg and the latter fed the ball into Jamie Salmon who finished well.
Begg got himself on the score sheet soon afterwards, with Tom Hine making it 3-1 before the break.
And it was to get even better in the second-half. Lewis Manor played in Julian Simon-Parson and he finished with aplomb.
It was a day to forget for Basildon United, as they looked to continue their fine early season form.
They were beaten 1-0 by Sporting Bengal United, as Toch Sign scored a second-half strike.
It was also more misery for Southend Manor, as they were beaten 4-2 by league new boys Wadham Lodge.
Manor had taken the lead in the match but they were blown away after that by the impressive Lodge.
