THE PREVIEW: Great Wakering have stuttered in recent weeks against sides in the bottom half and they face another team who have had a slow start tomorrow.

Brightlingsea impressed in their first season in the Ryman One North, having earned back-to-back promotions, finishing in sixth place but they sit in 16th ahead of tomorrow’s match.

With only three wins from their nine games, they sit four places and three points below Rovers, who have played two games more.

A win tomorrow could see Rovers climb as high as ninth in the standings.

WHAT HE SAYS: Rovers manager Dan Trenkel said: “It will be very tough for us. Brightlingsea are one of the best teams in the division although, at the moment, their position doesn't show that. They lost one or two big players to teams in higher leagues which is the downside of being successful.

“They have a fantastic manager and play great football. We need to match their work rate and effort and then we can start playing some of our football which we didn't do on Monday.

“Our pitch will be a lot better than Monday and so I expect us to use the football properly.”
