Grays Athletic 4-0 Brentwood Town
From Mill Field
Ryman Premier League
GRAYS Athletic romped to another win as their outstanding start to the season continued against Brentwood Town.
Blues won 4-0 at Mill Field to remain joint top of the standings, thanks to a double from Dumebi Dumaka and goals from Jay Leader and Roman Michael-Percil.
But it was the visitors who started brightly, with Mitch Hahn hammering a long-range effort off Lamar Johnson’s crossbar with just five minutes on the clock.
But with their first effort on target in the match, Blues went in front. Jey Siva sent in a fine delivery and Leader powered home his first goal of the campaign off the underside of the bar.
Two minutes later it was 2-0, as Dumaka continued his fine form as he blasted home when the ball dropped to him in the box.
Siva was heavily involved in the third goal again as his cross bounced out to Michael-Percil and the nippy winger slotted home with ease.
Jamie Guy sent an effort narrowly wide for Brentwood after the break, with Lamar Reynolds crossing for Dumaka to score his second of the game.
