Great Wakering Rovers 3–2 Heybridge Swifts

GREAT Wakering Rovers came from behind to secure a fine win against Heybridge Swifts, having surrendered a lead only days before to lose.
Goals from Billy Radley and a brace from Jacob Cleaver handed Dan Trenkel’s men the victory, in a match they had fallen behind in twice.
Trenkel had demanded a response after a ‘wake-up call’ at the weekend, in which they blew a 3-1 half-time lead to lose 4-3 to Wroxham.
And he got that tonight, although they couldn’t have got off to a worse start, as Shamido Pedulu netted inside 60 seconds.
But Rovers were not to be denied, as Radley raced through to score with 12 minutes on the clock.
Level at the break, Swifts were again the side out of the blocks quickly, scoring within a minute of the second-half beginning.
But Cleaver scored twice inside 10 minutes to fire them into the top five.
