Flower fans and gardening enthusiasts flocked to RHS Hyde Hall for the first day of the annual flower show.
The sun was shining for the crowds as they enjoyed the displays and gardening events, which included talks and demonstrations.
The show runs until Sunday.
Entry to the show is free for RHS members.
Adult ticket prices are just £8.95 and £4.50 for children.
Doors open from 10am.
