CANVEY Island face a double header this weekend as they take on Bowers & Pitsea and Ramsgate in 24 hours.

The Gulls visit the Len Salmon Stadium tonight, kick-off 7.45pm, as they look to fine-tune their preparations for the new Ryman Premier League season next weekend.

Bowers are expected to provide a stern test for Danny Heale’s men, having impressed everyone with their attacking brand of football which saw them finish second in the Essex Senior League last season.

Canvey play Ramsgate, of the Ryman One South, the following day at the Prospects Stadium with kick-off at 2pm.

East Thurrock United are also in action tonight, as they do battle with neighbours Tilbury at Rookery Hill.

The match kicks off at 7.30pm.

Billericay Town complete their pre-season schedule in Guernsey in what has become a regular fixture.

They will do battle for the Mike Thomas Memorial Trophy, having beaten the island side in their two previous encounters.

Concord Rangers complete their pre-season at home against St Neots Town tomorrow. The Southern Premier League outfit will be looking to upset Adam Flanagan’s side’s rhythm, after their fourth consecutive win of pre-season against Grays Athletic earlier this week.

Kick-off is at 3pm.

Great Wakering Rovers are at Ryman One South side Sittingbourne tomorrow, kick-off at 1pm.
