Cadets from Essex Army Cadet Force (ACF) are off to Okehampton, Devon for their exciting annual summer camp next week for 10 days of fun, friendship, action and adventure!

Essex Army Cadets arrive at Okehampton Training Camp yesterday to find challenging and action-packed activities such as canoeing, mountain biking and navigation waiting for them to arrive.

They will be assisted by the Cadet Force Adult Volunteers (CFAVs).

These activities are designed to offer the Cadets a chance to develop valuable skills such as leadership, self-discipline and the ability to work within a team.

All of these attributes can provide them with the confidence that is essential to helping them grow into well-rounded individuals.

The progressive training offered to Cadets and CFAV’s is not only provided at annual camp but all year round, offering opportunities to rise up the ranks.

CFAV’s devote their spare time to helping young people reach their full potential, enabling them to develop transferable skills that could potentially help them climb their career ladder.
