A one-stop shop for all your gardening needs, including the opportunity to meet RHS Gardening Advice experts awaits visitors to the RHS Hyde Hall Flower Show.

This year’s show, which runs from Thursday, July 30 to Sunday, August 2, features 60 specialist nurseries and garden sundry stands, many of which are RHS medal-winning exhibitors, so you can be assured of good-quality plants at a reasonable price.

Hyde Hall’s Curator Robert Brett said: “For me it’s great to know that we are working with such respected nurseries.

"You can be assured of buying top-quality plants from growers that are passionate about horticulture and their stock and with such a wealth of experts on hand it gives you an ideal opportunity to chat about what plants are best suited to your garden.”

Over the four days there will also be a free gardening advisory service where you can talk with RHS experts about any aspects of gardening from growing your own plants and vegetables to pruning and pest control.

All members of the RHS Gardening Advice team have vast experience and knowledge of working at the highest level of horticulture, so take the opportunity to pick their brains.

Members of the Hyde Hall gardening team will also be hosting a number of informal daily drop-in sessions covering topics such as lawn care, tools, propagation and planting designs for small gardens.

Robert Brett will also take to the stand to tell you the vision for the garden and will outline the journey of Hyde Hall from its original beginnings as a humble farm to a floral feast spanning 360 acres.

Suggestions from visitors at previous shows confirmed that visitors wanted a flower-arranging element, so new for this year is the addition of a Floral Art Marquee.

After an appeal to flower local clubs and societies, there was a fantastic response and you will be able to marvel at more than 30 innovative displays, all created by local Essex floral artists.

There will be plenty of places to stop for a drink and something to eat, as within the show site there will be a catering village serving the likes of gourmet burgers, duck wraps, sandwiches, salad boxes, ice creams and sorbets.

Hot and cold drinks as well as Pimm’s and Prosecco will help to quench your thirst before you finish your shopping.

Entry to the show is free for RHS members.

Adult ticket prices are £8.95 and £4.50 for children. Doors open from 10am.
