PITSEA’s handball talent Josh Da Silva has been selected to represent Team GB at the IHF Emerging Nations Championships.
The competition, which begins today runs for a week, with the specially selected squad including only players under 30, with a number of the team that competed in the 2013 Olympics taking part in Kosovo.
Da Silva is currently Great Britain’s under-19 captain, and is spending a year in Denmark at the IHA Handball Academy having represented his country at the under-21 World Championships earlier this year.
He also took part in the World Championships qualifying tournament in Kent.
Team GB have been drawn in a group with Armenia and Australia in the competition, with the Eastern European side the first to face Da Silva’s team tomorrow.
