IT'S the end of a long week and we're all looking forward to the weekend. So we've put together a list of ten things to do in Chelmsford and nearby this weekend.

1. Ollie Proudlock at Evoke Nightclub: The Made in Chelsea star will host a meet and greet on Saturday. Tickets £5/£7. evokenightclub.com.

2. Junify Kids Community Choir is holding it's next rehearsal on Saturday morning from 10am to 11.30am at the Salvation Army Hall in Baddow Road. Open to all children aged between six and 16 - costs £1.

3. Live music: Broadway Clash and Indigo Hammer at the Star and Garter, Chelmsford, on Saturday.

4. Ramble around Woodham Walter with the South East Essex Ramblers on Sunday morning. Meet at The Bell pub in Woodham Walter for 10.30am for the six mile walk. 

5. A fundraising concert for Nepal will be held at Danbury Mission, Maldon Road, Danbury, from 8pm on Saturday night. Three of the top folk, blues & acoustic-music bands - The Wheres Spot Band, Terry Hiscock from Hunter Muskett, and John Campling & Brian Barrett from Union Blues. Tickets cost £10 from  www.WheresSpotBand.com/tickets.

6. Uncle Sam's American Circus will be in Central Park in Chelmsford until Sunday. Tickets from £8. 

7. This weekend is the last chance to see Now the Last Poppy has Fallen at Chelmsford Museum. Commemorating WW1 with artefacts from the Essex Regiment and Yeomanry Collections showing how 1915 brought the war home to Essex folk, with heavy losses at Gallipoli, Ypres and Loos. Touring Exhibition funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

8. Witham Choral Society is going to enter the topsy turvy world of Gilbert and Sullivan for the first time on 30 May at Witham Public Hall. It will be hosting a Come and Sing of the much-loved HMS Pinafore and is inviting singers to rehearse in the afternoon and take part in a concert performance in the evening. Not a singer? Then you are most welcome to come along and listen to the delightful music and witty lyrics at 7pm.

10. Ukulele playing novelty pop outfit D'Ukes are playing at the Cramphorn Theatre on Saturday from 8pm.
