The father of a teenager who died after being stabbed has vowed to donate blood in his memory.
Trevor Woolley, 47, has expressed his gratitude to the paramedics and staff at Broomfield Hospital who fought to save his son, Ashley Woolley, 18, when he was attacked in Oaklands Park, Chelmsford, in December.
Sadly, despite receiving ten pints of bloody, Ashley died soon after he was stabbed.
Mr Woolley, of Witham, has now promised to donate at least ten pints of blood in honour of his son.
He hopes to donate at a donation session held tomorrow (Tuesday, May 26) at Ashley's secondary school, The Boswell School, in Burnham Road.
He said: "I have vowed that I am going to give back ten pints of blood and urge others to do the same.
“The hospital staff and paramedics worked so hard to save him, they really their best and I can’t thank the museum staff or the paramedics enough for what they did.
“This is a small way I can give back to them.”
