POLICE are trying to trace the owner of a pedal cycle believed to have been stolen in Chelmsford.
The bike had been locked to the railings next to the Marks and Spencer Simply Food store in Duke Street, opposite the train station and car park, on the evening of Wednesday May 13.
The cycle – which was a black mountain bike with white writing on the frame – was stolen.
The incident was captured on CCTV and eagle-eyed police have already identified, arrested, interviewed and bailed the suspect.
However police are yet to recover the bike and trace the owner.
Anybody who believes the cycle is theirs can contact PC Ryan Morrison at the Chelmsford Local Policing Team on 101.
A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft. He has been bailed until June 14.
