The taxi boss charged with the murder of grandfather Allan Frampton appeared at Chelmsford Crown Court today.
Nasser Rezaie, 63, of Petersfield, Chelmsford, smiled and chatted to a guard in the dock and spoke only confirm his name and date of birth during an appearance at Chelmsford Crown Court.
He is accused of running over Allan Frampton, 60, of Hatfield Peverel, in a silver Mercedes in Osea Way, Chelmsford on Saturday evening.
Rezaie, boss of Boreham-based Ali's Taxis, allegedly ran Mr Frampton over as he was in a relationship withRezaie's wife.
Rezaie was remanded in custody today and will next appear at Chelmsford Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing on July 13, with a provisional trial date set for October.
No application for bail was made.
