Green party candidate thanks residents for their support
Green party candidate Angela Thomson has thanked the people of Chelmsford for their support during the recent general election campaign.
She said: "I would like to thank all 1892 people who voted for me in the Chelmsford constituency in the recent general election.
"Our vote share increased as it did in Maldon with 1,504 Green Party votes, Saffron Walden where we took 2174 votes & in Brentwood & Ongar we had 1397 votes.
"We stood in several wards in the City elections so another nearly 4000 so over 9000 thank yous!
"I would also would like to thank all those who signed nomination papers, raised our deposits via crowdfunder, & leafleted in the High Street & elsewhere for us."
