A new fast food restaurant is offering free tacos to its first customers.

Taco Bell, which is set to open tomorrow morning in Moulsham Street, Chelmsford, will be awarding the first 50 customers of the day with a free crunchy tacos.

The restaurant’s contemporary design is inspired by both its Mexican-inspired cuisine and the brand’s California-based headquarters.

The 48-seat restaurant has free Wi-Fi and charging points for customers, as well as an open kitchen so customers can watch their food being made fresh to order.

Nick Dawson, General Manager for Taco Bell UK and Europe, said: "For years we’ve had fans from across the UK requesting a Taco Bell in their town, and Chelmsford was high up on the list.

“As the County Town of Essex, Chelmsford is a great location for our first High Street Taco Bell restaurant and we’re proud to be working with our franchisee Dart Taco to add a new flavour to the restaurant options in the city.”

The Chelmsford restaurant is Taco Bell’s second opening in the U.K. in 2015 and joins sites in Basildon, Thurrock, Sheffield and Manchester as part of the brand’s expansion strategy across the U.K. and Europe over the coming years.
