The Council is looking for your best photographs of our city’s parks.

Let your work be seen by thousands of people; send us your top pictures of Chelmsford’s parks and green spaces and you could win a £450 voucher to spend on a digital camera and accessories from Cameraworld, courtesy of e2v, the Chelmsford based global technology manufacturer.

Three Runners up will also win a photography course each by Going Digital.

The Council has teamed up with Essex Heritage Trust, Essex Chronicle, e2v, Camera World and Going Digital to help encourage everyone to enjoy the fresh air in Chelmsford’s beautiful green spaces, whilst inspiring you to unleash your creative side.

From playing in Admirals Park to the beautiful surroundings of Hylands Estate, there’s plenty of inspiration to choose from.

So, budding photographers come and celebrate Chelmsford’s rich history and beautiful outside spaces with us.

Chelmsford has a beautiful selection of parks and green spaces and we would like to encourage residents to come and enjoy them.

The photography competition is one way of inspiring people to find hidden gems, explore historic trails and monuments and to be active with the family.

We are really looking forward to seeing the talent within our community and to cherish and exhibit the many wonderful photographs we hope to receive.

The competition is open to amateur photographers only and photos must be based on at least one of the following categories - nature, heritage, and favourite past times.

A winning photo will be selected from each category and an overall winner, by the Mayor of Chelmsford.
