The X Factor's Stacey Solomon delighted her hardcore fans with a visit to Chelmsford's HMV store.

The singer was signing copies of her debut album, Shy, and happily posed for pictures with her fans,who began queuing outside the shop in High Chelmer more than an hour before she was due to appear.

Julia How, 45, and husband Nick How, 49, both of Chelmsford, were at the front of the queue.

Julia said: "I was so excited to meet her again, I'm a really big fan., "She's really kind and friendly."

Nick added: "We have met her bbefore but were both very much looking forward to seeing her again."

Tony Mattox, 35, and his mother Denise, 56, are big fans of Stacey, who shot to fame on the 2009 X Factor.

They try to attend all of her appearances and album signings around the country.

Tony said: "We go to all the signings we can.

"We were really looking forward to seeing her again, we go to all of her signings."

Denise added: "She is lovely we are really big fans."

Jenny Casal, 22, of Braintree, also queued up to meet the singer, who was also crowned Queen of the Jungle in 2010.

She said: "I'm was quite nervous but very excited."
