More than 600 children joined in a hunt for the Easter Bunny around Hylands House gardens.
Families flocked to the grounds of the house to take part in the Easter Sunday Bunny Hunt and were rewarded with chocolate prizes.
The event, which has been organised by the Chelmsford Ladies Circle for more than ten years, raised more than £1,300 for Farleigh Hospice and other community organisations.
Eleanor Grant, a mum of two, said: " What a huge success!
"We had a great time and we're already looking forward to next year."
The Chelmsford Ladies Circle is open to women aged 18-45 and welcomes new members.
