HOW times change. When this photo was taken back in 1962, it was relatively unusual to see women police officers, like these two, on traffic duty in Glasgow's St Enoch Square.

But to our modern eyes, it looks a lot more startling to see that you could get parked right outside the shops!

The square has long since been pedestrianised, along with many other parts of the city once clogged with traffic.

The shops, too, are a sign of the times, and are mostly small independent traders, not the High Street giants of today.
