Bury Town 0-2 Grays Athletic
From Ram Meadow
Ryman Premier League
GRAYS Athletic continued their play-off onslaught with a late victory over Bury Town, who were relegated following the defeat.
Mark Bentley’s Blues are now eight unbeaten in the league and have the second best record in the division over the last eight matches.
Late goals from Dumebi Dumaka and Bradley Fortnum-Tomlinson handed the away side the points in a match that looked set to end goalless.
Sean Cronin, on-loan from Conference South side Wealdstone was handed a start and impressed at centre-back alongside Manny Parry, with few chances afforded to the struggling hosts.
But with eight minutes remaining Dumaka broke forward to score, after Davidson has scuffed an effort into his path.
And, in added time, Fortnum-Tomlinson scored on his return, swiveling after a neat run from Kwasi Marfo to put the result beyond doubt.
Grays host leaders Maidstone United on Monday, and will move into the play-off places with another win.
Grays Athletic: Johnson, Morrison-Derbyshire (Fortnam-Tomlinson), Parry, Cronin, Siva, Stevens (Marfo), Wilson, Ferguson, Dumaka, Agombar (Beaney), Davidson
