ESSEX SENIOR LEAGUE: Hullbridge Sports are looking to make it 10 unbeaten when they visit Haringey Borough tomorrow.

Sports have climbed up to fifth after a fine run of form saw them claim seven victories in their last nine matches, but they face the toughest possible opponents as they travel to the title favourites.

Borough lost 2-1 at Bowers & Pitsea on Thursday and they won’t have it easy against Mark Bliss’ in-form Sports.

Basildon United are also enjoying a decent 2015, but will be looking to arrest their indifferent away form at a stumbling FC Romania.

Bees have lost their last two games on the road, coming out on the wrong side of a 4-3 classic against Clapton a fortnight ago.

Basildon lost their first home match in five against Eton Manor on Tuesday night, going down 2-0.

But manager Craig Gillam has his sights set on the top-half of the table.

Bowers & Pitsea play their seventh home league match in succession against Eton Manor as they continue their march towards the league’s summit.

Rob Small’s men are in fine form ahead of the match and will be looking for a repeat of the 2-0 scoreline the last time the two teams met.

Although Bowers only played yesterday, they cannot afford to ease up the pressure if they harbour hopes of promotion this campaign.

Southend Manor host Newham in a game that could see them climb out of the league’s bottom three.

Manor were beaten 3-1 by Ilford last time out but turned in one of their best performances of the season against Newham in October, winning 3-0.
