Madness Singer ‘Suggs’ is looking forward to a ‘lively’ performance during the band’s first concert at Chelmsford City Racecourse.

The band will be playing at the racecourse as part of their 20 date UK outdoor tour, which begins in May.

Singer Suggs, also known as Graham McPherson, is looking forward to a trip down memory lane as the band brings their famous hit songs, including Baggy Trousers, House of Fun and My Girl, to the city.

He said: “I’m really looking forward to all the racecourse shows.

“Chelmsford is always a good place to visit.

“All the boys like it there.

“First time for us at the racecourse though but we know this will be a lively show - we have good fans there.

“It’s great to do something new, something not done before, it feels like a tour of the people in places where they can have fun - where we can have fun.

“Of course it’s remarkable and a privilege to still be doing this funny old business that we do.”

Madness will be performing at the Chelmsford City Racecourse on June 3, gates open at 3pm.
