ESSEX SENIOR LEAGUE: Bowers & Pitsea are gunning to make it 11 wins on the spin when they host Stansted tonight.
Rob Small’s side sit one place and one point below Stansted ahead of the game, although have six games in hand over them.
Bowers beat Southend Manor 3-1 on Saturday and a win may be good enough to lift them into fifth, if other results go their way.
Hullbridge Sports are also at home, against fifth placed Clapton, although face a battle in getting Lower Road ready for the match.
Sports, who have only played once this month due to postponements, are hoping to have captain Rob Hodgson back for the match.
A win would lift Mark Bliss’s team into the top half.
