STUART Bingham has seen off the best in the business to win the eighth annual Championship League Snooker event.
The Vange player saw off Mark Davis 3-2 in the final on Friday to take home the trophy, and a cash prize of £28,500.
Having beaten Matt Selt in the semi-finals, Bingham was staring defeat in the face at 2-1 down in the first to three contest. But a break of 126 drew the match level before a run of 79 secured a 3-2 triumph.
The win also means Bingham has secured his place at November’s Champion of Champions event in Coventry.
