CONCORD Rangers midfielder Alex Woodyard has been promoted to the England C squad to play Cyprus under-21s on Tuesday.

The 21-year-old was initially named in Paul Fairclough's contingency squad but he has now been promoted to the 16-man squad that will fly out for the match, which is on Tuesday.

Woodyard could now become the first Beach Boys player to play international football, after a number of impressive displays at the heart of the Concord Rangers midfield this term.

England C, which is a team made up of the best players in non-league football, will play at the Ammochotos Stadium in Larnaca, with the match kicking-off at 1pm.
