AN AWARD-WINNING Chelmsford garden has been praised by TV presenter Alan Titchmarsh.

The garden is owned by Paul Edwards who was inspired by television gardening programmes to have his garden designed by landscapers Aralia.

It has now been featured in the final episode of Britains Best Back Gardens as one of the gardens chosen by Alan Titchmarsh.

The show focussed on Alan’s top ten gardens, that were best described as ‘flights of fancy’. The design uses curves to draw the eye from the boxy lines of the house and includes bespoke features such as sculpture, benches and lighting.

Mr Edwards said “I think what we’ve achieved here is absolutely fantastic,Iuse it all the time.”

Designer Patricia Fox and her team are thrilled that the garden had been chosen but she added: “It’s a shame he gave the impression thatacomplex garden such as this can easily be designed and installed without professional assistance.”
