McDONALD’S is hoping to build a fourth restaurant in Chelmsford.
The fast-food chain has submitted plans foranew restaurant in Robjohns Road and hopes to create up to 65 jobs.
The plans include a doublestorey, drive-through, which will accommodate parking. A McDonald’s spokesman said: “I can confirm that we have submitted plans foranew restaurant in Robjohns Road, in Chelmsford.
“A new McDonald’s would bring investment to the area and provide 65 full and part-time jobs for the community.
“We are excited about the prospect of investing in Chelmsford and will be working with the council on our plans.”
There are already three McDonald’s outlets in Chelmsford – one in the High Street, another in the Riverside Retail Park, in Victoria Road, and a 24–hour restaurant at the Boreham Interchange.
