A MAN has been jailed after police found child pornography on his computer.

A court heard today how Andrew Winch was fully co-operative with officers when he was arrested and admitted what he had been doing.

Winch, 56, of Beardsley Drive, Chelmsford, admitted ten charges of making indecent images of children when he appeared at Chelmsford Crown Court.

Judge Patrick O'Brien jailed him for a total of four months.

The court heard police armed with a search warrant found the images when they raided Winch's home on June 26 last year.

Checks revealed there were a total of 249 images and 51 film clips at Level A - the most serious - 201 images at B and 18 film clips and 1,252 images at Level C and 31 film clips, prosecutor Mark Lakin said.

The court heard Winch was taking steps to deal with his problem.
