Hundreds of tributes and flowers have been laid outside the entrance to Oakland park in memory of tragic murder victim Ashley Woolley.

The 18-year-old was stabbed in the park during Thursday afternoon and died later that day.

Photos, balloons and messages of support have been tied to the railings and laid on the floor outside the park.

A teenager was charged with murder on Saturday and appeared in court yesterday.

The 17-year-old suspect, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was remanded in custody to re-appear before Chelmsford Crown Court on February 16.
