The Friends of Boswells School has raised more than £1,000 towards supporting its pupils.

The annual Christmas draw, which included prizes such as Christmas hampers, meals at local restaurants, chocolates and cash prizes, was drawn by members of the school's Student Voice.

In total, the draw raised £1,061.45 with contributions from pupils, parents and staff.

Headteacher Paul Banks said: "The Friends of Boswells School do a huge amount of fundraising for the school and I am delighted that this year’s draw has been so successful.

“The money raised goes towards supporting every single student in the school and has, in the past, funded a new minibus for the school and a number of outdoor benches for our students to use at break and lunchtime.

“I would like to thank everyone who bought a ticket for their continued support of the school.”
