BILLERICAY Town travel to “favourites” Harlow Town in buoyant mood after recording their first league win in two months.

Town’s win at Tonbridge Angels has Craig Edwards’ men confident ahead of the fourth round tie tonight, and the manager has called the hosts favourites for the clash.

However, Harlow, who play on a 3G pitch, have been in superlative form this term, and are unbeaten in the league after 18 games.

They beat League Two side Southend United 4-2 in the last round and they also have Alex Read. The striker has hit 25 goals already this season, including two goals at Roots Hall and will be hopeful of adding to his tally against Billericay.

Town beat East Thurrock United 2-0 in the last round and Edwards is hoping for another cup run.

“We won this in 2011 and it was a great experience,” he said. “The competition is open this year but we have to come past a very tough team tonight.

“Harlow are on great form and could be regarded favourites for this game. The pitch will be a challenge but it will be a good game.”

Ricky Sappleton, Harry Baker, Callum Dunne and George Beavan are out of the match.
