A MUSICIAN is teaming up with a comedian who works on the famous Late Show with David Letterman.
Essex singer and songwriter Simon Lyon met Eddie Brill at the Hippocrates Health Institute in Florida and kept in touch on Facebook.
When Simon put some of his songs online, Eddie suggested organising a comedy and music show. The result of that collaboration will be coming to the Cramphorn Theatre this Saturday.
The night will also feature local comedians Andy Poole and Tony Marrese.
Simon said: “It’s a huge opportunity for Andy, Tony and I to be in the company and support the comedy legend, genius and nice guy who is Eddie Brill.
“It’s also a rare and amazing opportunity for people to come and see such a quality act right on their doorstep.”
Eddie is a three-time MAC award winner for Outstanding Male Comic in New York.
He worked on the Late Show with David Letterman for 17 years and has also appeared on the Jonathan Ross Show and Never Mind the Buzzcocks.
The show starts at 8pm.
Ages 16-plus only, strong language.
Tickets are £12 and £10 concessions from 01245 606505.
Sponsors Bassment Bar are giving ticket holders free entry to the bar on presentation of their theatre tickets.
