FA Trophy Ware 4-0 Great Wakering Rovers
From Wodson Park
FA Trophy Preliminary Round
A CHARLIE Ledula hat-trick for Ware ended Great Wakering Rovers' interest in the FA Trophy in a comfortable 4-0 win.
Rovers were never at the races and the tone was set once Rovers full-back Adam Holmes was sent off after half-an-hour.
That came after Dan Trenkel’s men fell behind, Ledula heading the hosts in front after 20 minutes.
Rovers had lost this encounter 3-2 in the league earlier in the season and they came into this match hopeful of reversing that result although that never seemed likely when Holmes was dismissed for a late challenge.
Ledula doubled the lead with 20 minutes left on the clock and, despite a Lewis Sparrow header striking the post, the Ware forward netted his hat-trick after the referee controversially pointed to the spot.
Rheo Joseph put a flattering look on the scoreline after netting from a counter-attack to leave Rovers focussing on the league campaign.
Great Wakering Rovers: Seal, Radley, Skeels (Worrell), Kent, Holmes, Sparrow, Skelton, Bradley (Johnson), Jacobs, Nash, Ranger (Hepburn)
