HEALTH walks in Chelmsford have been given the thumbs-up by a walking charity organistaion because of how much fun they are.
The Chelmsford Heart and Sole heatlth walks, which are supported by the Chelmsford City Council and Provide, are aimed at helping people get active and stay active.
They are described as free, local and friendly and now Walking For Health, an organisation formed of Ramblers – a nationwide walking group – and Macmillan Cancer Support have endorsed the quality of experience and support that walkers can expect when taking part in one of the scheme’s 12 weekly walks.
Heart and Sole runs walks that are no longer than 90 minutes and take in Writtle, Great Baddow and Beaulieu Park, to name but a few areas.
Karen Frett, walks co-ordinator, said: “Our walkers have a great deal of fun, making new friends and getting to know their local are.”
