A HOST of Essex’s finest comics had the crowd rolling in the aisles at the Chelmsford Comedian of the Year show.
A crowd packed into The Bassment as 13 funny hopefuls took to the stage for five-minutes to wow the judges.
The night was all in aid of the Helen Rollanson Cancer Charity, and raised nearly £500.
After routines that included jokes on cheese and superheroes, it was Garrie Grubb’s barrage of laughter that won the day and saw him win the prize and a slot on the bill at a top Essex comedy show.
