UKIP has triumphed in Brentwood's EU vote, taking 37.5 per cent of the share.
The Conservative party came second in Thursday's ballot, earning 32.8 per cent of the vote.
Labour came third, the Liberal Democrats fourth and the Green Party fifth.
Ukip also came out on top in the Eastern region as a whole, taking 35 per cent of the vote.
The Conservatives took 28 per cent, Labour 17 per cent and the Green Party eight per cent.
This means that the Eastern region - which includes Brentwood - will be represented in the European Parliament by three Ukip members three Conservative members and one Labour member.
