A MAN accused of raping a woman in Chelmsford last year has been charged.
Alin Calinciuc, 23, from the city, is accused of raping a 45-year-old from Harlow inside a house in the Moulsham Street area in the early hours of Monday, August 5.
Later that week, Calinciuc, a gardener, was arrested on suspicion of rape and was then released on police pending further enquiries.
Calinciuc has been charged with one count of rape. He is currently on police bail until his appearance at Chelmsford Magistrates Court on Wednesday, June 11.
