RESEARCH has revealed Chelmsford to be one of the most serious cities in the UK, and we want to know if that’s really the case.

Conducted by Walls Ice Cream, the research revealed nearly two thirds of Chelmsford residents spend 226 days a year being serious and not having enough fun.

Instead, residents spend too much of their time worrying about finances or commuting to work.

The numbers rank Chelmsford as the third most serious city in the country, behind Portsmouth and Wrexham.

Is this really the case? Do the people of Chelmsford really need to lighten up? Do we not have enough fun?
