CHELMSFORD groups and individuals have been made a unique offer in exchange for hiring a venue in Chelmsford.

Until the end of May, people wanting to use the Ideas Hub in the High Chelmer Shopping Centre can use it for free for an event.

In return, they will be asked to share their skills with others at the hub which will act as a form of payment.

Leonie Ramondt, co-founder of the hub, said the aim was to get organisations who cannot normally afford city centre venue hire fees to have the chance to meet up.

She said: “We know that there are local groups who would want to meet in the city centre but simply can't afford it.

“From running a yoga class to doing some art, craft music, or anything else that sparks people’s imagination and community spirit, the Ideas Hub is a really good space to be.”

Anyone interested in using the venue should either email hosts@ideashubchelmsford.org or visit www.ideashubchelmsford.org/space-hire.
